12th National Conference on the Deanery

The Twelfth National Deaneries Conference will be held at the 
Hayes Conference Centre at Swanwick from 
Friday 1 October - Sunday 3 October 2010.

The theme for the 2010 conference is 

Planning for the Twelfth National Deaneries Conference is well underway and as with past conferences will not only explore the challenges and opportunities facing deaneries there will be ideas and resources to equip us for the task.

Deaneries are an established and integral resource: essential in the furtherance of mission and managing allocating resources.

We've got Deaneries - let's make them work for us!

A national survey of Diocesan Bishops carried out recently, showed Bishops see Deaneries as essential in the furtherance of mission, and in managing and allocating resources.

The Conference discussions will form a report for Bishops, and others involved in strategic planning advising on an effective role for the Deaneries in the future.

Who should attend the conference

Whether you are new and just starting out at this Deanery thing or an experienced hand, this conference is an opportunity to learn from and share experiences, explore future possibilities and build confidence to realise the potential of the Deanery.

The Venue - The Hayes Conference Centre

The Hayes is situated in the Amber Valley in the heart of picturesque Derbyshire just 5 miles from Junction 28 of the M1. The Hayes has brought on stream new delegate accommodation over recent years offering a high standard of modern en-suite accommodation. 

For the 2010 conference we will be using the new state of the art Derbyshire conference suite at the Conference Centre. 

The conferences are generally oversubscribed, so please return the booking slip as soon as possible and certainly before 1st August, 2010.
