Role of the Deanery to be debated at July General Synod

A Diocesan Synod motion is seeking to extend the role of the deanery in order to develop effective missionary strategies across wider areas than single parishes. 

Originally scheduled for debate at the February 2010 sessions  the motion will now be brought to the July sessions at York.
